Spitz AP3 Planetarium Projector 1956, used to train the Mercury astronauts. A cool carving based on the painting "St. George Killing the Dragon." It serves as an illustration of the many ancient records depicting man and dinosaurs together. Some random knight. One of my favorites: a literate dragon.
This statue was made of stock construction material and wire overlaid with cloth, then painted with a hardening agent. It looked fantastic. A snarling competition: Christina wins! Scary D. Some of the Bible's authors
Another one. The loss of absolute truth Acceptance of theistic evolution undermines the scriptures. Garden of eden
Biological competition Hey! That dinosaur is stealing my kisses! The original lovebirds. Lovebird Descendants. =)
More dino action The serpent looks on. A close up... the scales are pumpkin seeds, individually applied. "It will bruise her heel, but she will bruise its head."
Some Hebrew traditions believe the forbidden fruit was a type of grape. Clothing, a covering requiring the first innocent deaths in Eden... ...and a curse that spread over the Earth. Man toils for his food.
And murder is commited for the first time. Inside the Ark A model of the inside. Hilarious: "This space is evolving"
A model of the Ark. More models A closeup from the last pic. As if it were bad enough to get left, those chumps get to share their vanishing rock with a couple of tigers. A meeting of the crew.
And finally back on land. T-Rex, life sized and impressive. Some other dino. Velociraptors These were about 3 feet high.
The velociraptor sign Another shot of the impressive T-Rex Triceratops bones. The petting zoo: Christina makes a friend.
I can make friends, too. A cute goat. Even cuter. Dad wants in on the action.
On the museum grounds. A neat bronze sculpture
The museum from outside I thought the sign was funny, considering what was in the background. The birthplace of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Could I have been in a more akward posture when this was taken? =)
